Ephesus, once the trade centre of the ancient world and a religious centre of the early Christianity.Ephesus is the best preserved classical city on the Mediterranean and perhaps the best place in the world to get the feeling for what life was like in Roman times. Stay over the second largest city in the Roman Empire, the site of a Christian shrine and one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The Great Theatre – Continuously excavated year by year the theatre had a capacity of 25,000 people. Still used occasionally for major concerts. Sting and Diana Ross played here (which must have really disturbed the gods) and the magnificent acoustics and view have inspired several more classical performances.
Pamukkale is one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in Turkey. Staying over night will let you enjoy its tranquility in the morning. The big attraction is a vast white cliff side with scallop shaped basins of water and frozen waterfalls. It looks as if it is made out of snow or cloud or balls of cotton. The ruins of Hierapolis are the other main attraction. The city was founded in 190 B.C. by Eumenes II, king of Pergamon. Finally you can swim in sacred pool (Holy poll of Cleopatra) where the ruins of Apollon temple are in it. This pool is high in calcium and said where Cleopatra took her beauty. It is the main spring of white terraces of Pamukkale.
It is really a perfect excursion. Very much recommended.
