Over 5 km’s of Protected Paradise await you at the world famous Iztuzu Beach, Where the endangered Loggerhead Turtles come ashore by night every summer to lay their eggs. At the Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre you will see excellent work of the volunteers as you get up close and personal with these amazing creatures, and learn how they are nursed back to health before returning to the sea. A visit to ‘Kaptan June’s’ Hut uncovers the work of this remarkable English woman who started the campaign to save the beach from tourist development over thirty rears ago and continues to dedicate herself to the protection of both the beach and turtles. With plesnty of free time to sunbathe and swim, you are guaranteed a Turtletastic day out!
