The indented
and protruded coastline of the Aegean Shore has been preferred by
the sailors for a long time. The beautiful peninsulas that extend
into the backsides where almost no one exists can only be discovered
by traveling on foot. The back site with unmatched plant cover would
be ideal for both resting and traveling throughout beach and mountain
walks. The desolate bays at the linking point of the mountainous area
and the seaside could be reached just by the boats or on foot. These
bays had presented suitable shelters for the smugglers and the pirates
once upon a time. Exploring the silent witnesses of the past takes
us to a fascinating atmosphere surrounded by the legends. Those untouched
and mysterious Mediterranean scenes also include the naïve spirit
of the ordinary farmers within a sensitive hospitality. And finally,
dream-like and hidden bays for swimming and the traditional cuisine
that presents an incredible variety will allow you an unforgettable
holiday.
Walking times: Minimum 2, maximum 5 hours for the walks with average
difficulty. Climb-up and climb-down distances between 400-800 meters.

hotel. Meeting in the hotel; after saying "hello", KRAULAND,
the guide of the walk will introduce you the walk program which will
be held in the following days.
2nd Day (Tuesday): "Into the gardens of Bayır Mountain
Village". This very enjoyable walk tour will take start at the
magnificent waterfall of Turgut River. An easy forest path will lead
us into the untouched nature and take to a legendary mountain panorama.
The road that linked the coasts once is now ornamented with orchids
and countless local plants. Getting closer to the top point of our
walk, the mountain village Bayır, a rocky mountain plain, fruitful
terrace gardens and a 2300 years-old plane tree will welcome us.
Climb-up: approximately 300 meters uphill; Climb-down: approximately
300 meters downhill; Distance: approximately 8 km; Walking Time: 2-3
hours.
3rd Day (Wednesday): "A
visit to the Monks of the Mountains". We will start our tour
nearby by Içmeler and carry on to the house of monks which locates
in the middle of the fascinating mountain nature. The way on which
wood picked for the strawberries allows us a forest path to see
our way easily. The open areas amongst the forest look as if displaying
the mystic and thousands years age history. When looked down from
the top, the excellent view of Içmeler and Marmaris bays can be
seen. While walking on the paths, we meet the shepherds with their
herds who represent the quietness of the rural life. In the end
of our walk, we look back the high plateaus which present the beauty
of the peaceful life that we never want to leave. Consequently,
we meet the ordinary farms and the houses in which happy people
live.
Climb-up: approximately 500 meters uphill; Climb-down: approximately
500 meters downhill; Distance: approximately 9 km; Walking Time:
4-5 hours.
4th Day (Thursday): "Shining
colors of the Aegean". The target point of our tour will be
the fjord beach scene at the western part of Marmaris. After a short
walk, we arrive at the old path that links Içmeler to Turunç. Throughout
the rocky beach, it will be possible to witness the worth-seeing
swinging of the sailing and fishing boats. The Aegean Sea shining
in turquoise and sky-blue color invites us to have a cool dive.
We will be able to enjoy swimming when we arrive at the attractive
bay of Turunç. After having a swimming break the cook of Turkish
cuisine will pamper our stomach. After having food, the fast boat
will take us back to Marmaris.
Climb-up: approximately 300 meters uphill; Climb-down: approximately
300 meters downhill; Distance: approximately 11 km; Walking Time:
4-5 hours.
5th Day (Friday): "On the
old paths of the smugglers". The start point of our tour will
be Taşlıca, the little farm village, which presents magnificent
views on the southern coastline. Flower fields and barren shrubberies
create a fascinating contrast between the turquoise sea and the
dull silver olive trees. The amazing rock shapes present the image
of an unusual world within its peculiar beauty. When we arrive at
the farthest point of south, we meet the marvelous scene of Rodos
Island. We will meet the farmers and the shepherds feeding their
herds, and realize the difficulties of living a rural life. However,
the group of walkers will be impressed by the friendship and hospitality
of the rural people. Bozburun, a typical fishing village which had
smugglers and pirates in the past, will be the ideal finish point
of our tour.
Climb-up: approximately 250 meters uphill; Climb-down: approximately
250 meters downhill; Distance: approximately 8 km; Walking Time:
4-5 hours.
6th Day (Saturday): "Ruins
of Caunos". Today, the start point of our tour will be the
paradise laying around Dalyan city which exists at the end of the
flows of Köyceğiz Lake, and is renowned for its sea-sables, sheatfish
and turtle beds. A river flowing among the witnesses of an almost
forgotten history, accompanied with a fascinating scene will form
the background of our walk tour. There is no need to explain the
beauty of the historical ruins, rock graves and the historical port
hole. When we look on the view of the Theatre, it becomes nonsense
to discuss whether the legendary King of Caunos was a historical
fact or just a fictional story. At the top of the Acropolis Hill,
an impressive sea and back-site scene welcomes us. A marvelous,
untouched bay will be the end point of today's tour. A fisher boat
will take us back to Dalyan through a river delta full of reeds.
Climb-up: approximately 500 meters uphill; Climb-down: approximately
500 meters downhill; Distance: approximately 14 km; Walking Time:
4-5 hours.
7th Day (Sunday): Final. We present the last day of the walk
program as a free time to let you spend your day however you want.
You may do whatever you want; you may travel the sightseeing places,
have a sunbath, or make shopping around the city. Before concluding
this peaceful, impressive and adventurous walking week, you will
be at the Hotel in the evening and take the Baptism Diplomas in
order to plant the fresh sapling trees.
8th Day (Monday): Departure. After having breakfast, you will be
transferred to the airport to return home, or you may carry on your
